Using a Wordpress theme detector to find themes and plugins

In today’s day and age there are so many Wordpress themes to choose from, so many layouts, functionalities and what not. I’ve often scrolled through Wordpress themes for hours on end just to try and figure out what theme to add to my site.

No More!

Now there is no reason to do all of that, not to mention that there is often a huge difference between theme demo pages and the actual outcome that you get, unless you are a developer. If you build websites based on Wordpress themes, you MUST use this method, which will speed up your process. This is how you should be working:

1. Find a website that’s layout is similar or identical to what you want to achieve
2. Use a theme detector website such as this WordPress Theme Detector
3. Paste the URL you found within the search box
4. Wait for the results…

As you can see, you get all the answers you need as to how that site was built.

What about additional Functionality?

Good question. Just scroll down a bit…

Pretty simple right? So, basically you can detect any theme or plugin that is being used on a given site.
Here’s something extra that you can do that will make the process even quicker. If you are Google Chrome user, download the Scan WP – Wordpress Theme Detector extension and get the same functionality within your browser, it’s only a click of a button.
So the next time you need to build a site, instead of looking for a new and improved theme, just use Scan WP and detect another site’s theme and plugins.
